What is the difference between RF Microneedling and Microneedling?
Microneedling creates controlled physical injury to the skin by using tiny needles that enter the skin and create microchannels. With RF microneedling, when the pins of this device enter the skin they transmit radiofrequency energy into the skin. Through this process, the skin receives both a controlled physical injury, (as you do with all microneedling devices), plus the added effect of heat. The dual effect of physical injury plus heat creates dramatic collagen production and skin tightening.
Is there any downtime?
Expect red, sensitive skin for a few hours after treatment followed by mild redness that persists for up to five days. You’ll be able to cover up any redness with mineral makeup after 24 hours.
When will I see results?
You’ll begin to see results in 1 to 2 weeks, with results continuing to improve and reaching full effect at around 3 months. Some concerns such as skin laxity and deep wrinkles may require several treatments to achieve significant improvements.
How long will results last?
Results from RF microneedling are permanent! However, we can’t stop the aging process so regular treatments are crucial to maintaining your results.
Does it hurt?
Topical numbing cream is applied for treatments to keep you comfortable. You may feel slight discomfort in sensitive areas such as the hairline and around the upper lip.
Can I get RF Microneedling if I’m pregnant or breastfeeding?
RF Microneedling is not recommended if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
