Thread Lift Uses

Forehead

Threads are used to lift the brow, which immediately smooths forehead lines and reduces sagging around the eyes for a refreshed, youthful appearance.

Cheeks & Jawline

When threads are used along the cheeks you get a combination of benefits. They lift tissue back up for more defined cheeks, and reduce sagging a jowling along the jaw for a sharper jawline. Thread lifts also reduce wrinkles for smoother, firmer skin.

Neck

Threads can also be used on the neck to smooth wrinkles and firm skin for a slimmer neckline.

What is a thread lift?

The non-surgical face lift that lifts and smooths facial features by placing dissolvable, biodynamic suspension sutures just beneath the surface of the skin. These sutures immediately lift skin and support tissue to alleviate wrinkles and sagging. Over the following months collagen and elastin growth is stimulated, restoring lost volume to the face for a more youthful texture and shape.

Is there any downtime?

Expect small pin prick spots at the insertion site for a few days. You can cover these with makeup. You’ll need to avoid strenuous activity and any other facial treatments for 2 weeks following a thread lift, but otherwise are free to return to your normal routine.

When will I see results?

You will notice a significant lift immediately! Results will continue to improve over the two to three months following treatment as collagen and elastin are produced around the threads.

How long will results last?

Results from a thread lift are permanent! However, we can’t stop the aging process so maintenance treatments are crucial to maintaining your results.

Does it hurt?

Anesthesia will be provided for this treatment. You won’t feel a thing.

Are there any side effects?

The most common side effects include tenderness, swelling, bleeding and bruising. These typically reside within a week.

Can I get a thread lift if I’m pregnant or breastfeeding?

We recommend that you consult with your physician prior to receiving this treatment if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Pre-Treatment Tips

  • Avoid aspirin and vitamin E for 10 days.
  • Avoid anti-inflammatories like motrin, advil, aleve, etc. for 7 days.
  • Avoid alcohol for 3 days.
  • If you are on a prescribed anticoagulant, discuss with your doctor in advance.
  • If you’ve been prescribed medications for this treatment, wait to take them after you arrive and sign your consent forms.

Post Treatment Tips

  • Cold packs may be applied for swelling as needed.
  • Take Tylenol in case of pain as needed.
  • Avoid pulling, tugging, or massaging the skin around the treatment site for 2 weeks after.
  • Don’t schedule any facial treatments for 2 weeks following treatment.
  • Avoid strenuous exercise for 1 week.
  • Avoid massage for 1 month.
  • Keep your head elevated on several pillows or in a recliner for the first 3 nights.
  • No dental surgery for 1 month.
  • Avoid excessive chewing (no gum) and other unnecessary facial movements for 1 week.
  • Wash, shave and dry your face gently without rubbing for 1 week.
  • You may apply makeup gently after 24 hours.
