Treatment FAQ
View All FAQsWhen will I see results?
You’ll begin to see results in 3 to 5 days, and see the full effect around 14 days after treatment. Botox wears off gradually, most patients will see full movement return by the 4 month mark.
How long do Botox results last?
With proper dosing (adequate number of units) your Botox should last 3 to 4 months. We recommend receiving Botox every 3 months to maintain results. You can read more on the science behind our recommendation in this blog.
How many units will I need?
Your ElaMar expert will recommend units based on your goals. However, the recommended dosing for the upper face is 64 units: 20 for the forehead, 20 for the glabella, and 24 for crow’s feet.
For dosing in masseters, platysmal bands or other areas please consult your ElaMar provider.
How can I save on Botox treatments?
We have multiple options to save on your Botox treatments: Botox Banks or Clubs.
Botox Banks allow you to pre-purchase 100 units for $10 per unit (regularly $13), saving you $300. These units then “bank” to your account allowing you to use them over time whenever and however you like.
Tox Club allows you to get $10 per unit Botox in any amount for just $20 a month.
Glow Club allows you to get $10 per unit Botox in addition to a complimentary monthly facial and other perks for $175 a month.
Does it hurt?
No injectable treatment is completely pain-free, but Botox is about as painless as it gets. The needle used for Botox is tiny, and the treatment is very quick so it will be over before you know it. If you are pain sensitive, ask us about Comfort Needles!
Will it look overdone or unnatural?
The “overdone” look results from too much dermal filler, but is often associated with Botox. When Botox is administered in the right amounts by trained and skilled providers, it results in a subtle improvement to your appearance. We pride ourselves in delivering natural-looking, effective Botox treatment.
Are there any side effects?
There may be small bumps at the injection site that vanish within an hour. Mild headaches may occur; if so, we recommend tylenol.
