After Care
Swelling will occur following treatment for up to 48 hours. Gently ice the treated area for 15 minutes every hour to reduce swelling.
You may experience tenderness and mild bruising at the injection site following treatment. Take arnica tablets or apply arnica cream to reduce bruising.
Avoid heat exposure, i.e. hot showers, saunas, hot tubs and exercise for 48 hours following treatment.
Avoid massaging or applying pressure to the injected area for 48 hours.
Hold off on facials, other treatments, dental work and vaccines for 2 weeks after.
Microneedling
What To Expect
We’ll take a photo to track your skin journey.
After a cleanse, your provider will perform microneedling followed by application of a moisturizer and soothing serums.
After Care
Mild redness is expected for up to 48 hours following treatment.
Lightly cleanse with a gentle cleanser and reapply a moisturizer a few hours post treatment or before you go to bed.
Avoid heat exposure, i.e. hot showers, saunas, hot tubs and exercise for 48 hours following treatment.
Avoid direct sun exposure for 48 hours.
Hold off on any active topical products such as Vitamin A (retinoids), AHAs, BHAs, Glycolic Acid, etc for 48 hours after.
IPL / BBL Photofacial
What To Expect
For IPL, we apply topical numbing cream to ensure you’re comfortable for your treatment.
A warm, zapping sensation during the treatment.
We’ll apply sunscreen and skin care to soothe your skin immediately after.
After Care
Expect some mild redness and swelling for a few hours following treatment.
Avoid unprotected sun exposure and reapply 30+ SPF every 2 hours.
Thoroughly, and gently, cleanse your skin twice a day with a gentle cleanser to remove dirt, sweat, makeup and bacteria.
Don’t pick, scratch or pull at flaking or peeling skin.
Hold off on any physical exfoliation of the treated area for 24 hours.
Hold off on any active topical products such as Vitamin C, Vitamin A, Glycolic Acid, etc for 24 hours.
Erbium Laser
What To Expect
We’ll take a photo to track your skin journey.
We apply topical numbing cream and use an air cooling device to ensure you’re comfortable for your treatment.
After a cleanse, your provider will begin the Erbium Resurfacing treatment followed by an application of sunscreen.
After Care
Expect mild redness for up to 5 days.
You will experience crusting, dry and peeling skin, for up to 5 days.
Wash your skin with a gentle cleanser twice per day and reapply your provided skin ointment, Stratecel, after each cleanse.
Avoid heat exposure, i.e. hot showers, saunas, hot tubs for 72 hours following treatment.
Avoid direct sun exposure for 1 week following treatment.
Hold off makeup and skin care products such as vitamin C, AHAs and vitamin A or retinoids for 4 to 5 days following treatment. Do not rub, pick or scrub the skin.
Thread Lift
What To Expect
We’ll take a photo to track your skin journey.
Your provider will begin the Thread Lift followed by an application of sunscreen.
After Care
Expect tenderness for up to 2 weeks.
Avoid pulling, tugging, or massaging the skin for 1 month after.
Don’t schedule any facial treatments for 1 month after.
Hold off on dental work or surgery for 1 month following.
Botox
What To Expect
We’ll take a photo to track your skin journey.
After a cleanse, your provider will inject Botox in the target area.
After Care
Avoid lying down for 4 hours following treatment.
Hold off on facial treatments and massaging of the treated area for 2 weeks after your Botox treatment.
Hold off on exercise, sauna, hot tubs and heat exposure for 24 hours after treatment.

Before your first appointment, you and your ElaMar expert will discuss your skin concerns, the treatment, its benefits, and your skin goals.

While you numb, we’ll draw a little of your blood and spin it in a centrifuge to make PRF.
After a cleanse, your provider will begin the PRF treatment followed by aftercare instructions.
After Care
