Does it hurt?
No injectable treatment is completely pain-free, but most patients find Hylenex treatments quite tolerable. We do everything we can to keep you comfortable. We apply topical numbing cream before each Hylenex treatment.
Is Hylenex safe?
Yes, Hylenex is very safe when administered by a trained, qualified professional. Hylenex is made from a synthetic form of hyaluronidase enzyme – a substance naturally found in your body. When injected into an area with HA filler, Hylenex rapidly degrades the hyaluronic acid, breaking it into smaller fragments that your body can then absorb and clear out.
As with any aesthetic procedure, it’s essential to see a licensed and experienced injector with the knowledge and skill to properly and safely inject dermal filler.
How long after Hylenex should I wait before refilling?
4 weeks.
