Why We Love It

  • It’s safe and effective for all skin types.
  • It uses components from your own blood to naturally rejuvenate skin, so cool!
  • Results continue to improve for weeks to months following treatment.

What to Expect

  • We apply topical numbing cream to ensure you’re comfortable for your treatment.
  • We’ll draw a little of your blood and spin it down to make the liquid gold!
  • Then we’ll apply topically with microneedling, inject the PRP, or both to rejuvenate your skin by naturally stimulating new collagen and elastic growth.

PRP Uses

Pair PRP with Microneedling to Boost Results and Accelerate Healing

Microneedling creates tiny channels that help push the prp deeper into the skin when as applied topically behind the microneedling. This boosts the effects of microneedling to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, sun damage, reduce the appearance of scars, and stimulate collagen production for firmer, smoother skin. PRP also reduces the microneedling downtime by almost half!

PRP Injections

PRP can be injected into the skin, similarly to how filler is injected. This triggers your skin’s healing mechanism to generate new collagen and elastin which leads to smoother, firmer, brighter, healthier skin. It’s useful for covering dark circles and smoothing puffy under eye bags, for restoring volume and color to the cheeks, and for reducing smile and laugh lines.

Pair PRP Injections with Dermal Filler

Dermal filler is the ultimate for adding or replacing volume in the face. Injecting PRP around dermal filler creates natural collagen that enhances filler results by improving skin texture and tone for a significantly younger looking appearance.

Inject PRP into the Scalp to Treat Hair Loss

When injected into the scalp, prp reactivates hair follicles and stimulates new hair growth for a fuller, healthier head of hair. A series of four will significantly reduce thinning, restore thickness, and even color for strong, beautiful hair.

Inject PRP for Intimate Wellness

50% of men over the age of 40 will experience some form of sexual dysfunction. Luckily, PRP can be injected into the penis to treat erectile dysfunction, increase size and enhance sensation.

For women, prp is injected into the vaginal wall and clitoris to strengthen vaginal muscles, tighten the vaginal canal and opening, and improve vaginal dryness to allow women to regain control of their bladder and experience greater sexual pleasure.

Pair PRP with Laser Treatments to Boost Results and Accelerate Healing

In the same way that prp can be paired with microneedling, prp can also be added to laser skin resurfacing treatments to boost pigment reduction, further enhance collagen production for reducing lines, wrinkles and scars, and significantly reduce recovery time.

What exactly is PRP?

Let’s start by clarifying that, contrary to popular belief, we aren’t just smearing blood on your face!

PRP stands for platelet-rich plasma. It’s a protein based solution that is created by separating white blood cells, platelets and plasma from other components of your blood using a centrifuge.

The PRP solution is actually a yellowish hue, hence the name liquid gold.

This solution is rich in natural growth factors and platelets that are essential to the body’s healing process after an injury to fight infection, and repair skin and tissue.

In a cosmetic setting, we use PRP to trigger this healing process to naturally rejuvenate skin and create a more youthful appearance.

Is there any downtime?

Downtime varies depending on the use. For Microneedling + PRP, expect redness and possible bruising for 3 to 5 days. For injections you may notice some redness, swelling, tenderness and bruising at the injection site, but it’s typically mild enough to return to work immediately after. There is no downtime for hair. We’ll always let you know what to expect prior to treatment and provide you with everything you need to recover quickly and comfortably!

When will I see results?

You’ll begin to see results in 1 to 2 weeks, with results continuing to improve and reaching full effect at around 3 months.

How long will results last?

Results from PRP are permanent! However, we can’t stop the aging process so regular treatments are crucial to maintaining your results.

Does it hurt?

Topical numbing cream is applied for treatments to keep you comfortable. PRP injections feel similar to dermal filler and will involve slight discomfort.

Are there any side effects?

Because PRP is taken from your own blood, there are almost no side effects! You may have some bleeding, bruising, swelling and redness from the injection. These usually improve within 1-3 days after treatment.

Can I get PRP if I’m pregnant or breastfeeding?

We recommend consulting with your doctor prior to receiving prp treatments if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Pre-Treatment Tips

  • Schedule your treatment at least two weeks prior to events. This allows time for any redness, swelling or bruising to heal.
  • For injections: discontinuing use of aspirin, ibuprofen and other anti-inflammatories for at least 3 days, preferably a week, prior to your appointment will reduce the risk of redness and bruising. Please consult with your primary physician prior to discontinuing any medications.
  • Avoid alcohol, caffeine, Niacin supplement and cigarettes 24-48 hours before and after your treatment. This will significantly reduce the risk of bruising and swelling.
  • If prone to bruising, starting Arnica supplements at least 2 days prior to injections may help reduce bruising.
  • Let the provider know if you have a history of cold sores. An antiviral may be prescribed.
  • Avoid IPL photofacials and laser procedures for 7 days prior to treatment, unless pairing PRP with your laser treatment.

Post Treatment Tips

  • Avoid rigorous exercise activities, excessive sun or heat exposure, and alcoholic beverages for 24 hours following treatment.
  • No facials or saunas for 48 hours after treatment.
  • You may gently wash with soap & water.
  • You may apply a mineral make-up 24 hours after treatment.
  • There may be some mild swelling. You may apply ice packs for 15 minutes every 1 hour, if needed.
  • There may be some bruising. It will resolve like any other bruise in about a week. You may apply Arnica cream to help with healing.
