Microblading Care Instructions
Before Your Treatment
No blood thinners, aspirin, or fish oil for 30 days prior.
No Retin-A (tretinoin), chemical peels, or AHA for 2 weeks prior.
No chemotherapy for 1 year prior.
No Botox injections for 2 weeks prior.
Day of Treatment
An hour after treatment, you may gently blot any weeping fluid from the eyebrows with a moistened cotton pad.
Do not touch, rub, pick or scratch the eyebrows.
Wipe with a moist cotton pad, then apply a thin layer of Stratacel with a cotton swab every hour until bedtime.
At bedtime, wash the eyebrows with warm water and Gentle Cleansing Lotion. Apply a thin layer of Stratacel after cleaning.
Day 2 through 10 After Treatment
Do not touch, rub, pick or scratch the eyebrows.
Before showering, apply Aquaphor to the eyebrows and keep your face away from direct contact from the showerhead.
Apply a thin layer of Stratacel with a cotton swab 2 times a day.
At bedtime, wash the eyebrows with warm water and Gentle Cleansing Lotion. Apply a thin layer of Stratacel after cleaning.
Avoid sweating and strenuous exercise.
No swimming.
No hot sauna, bath or Jacuzzi.
No sun tanning or tanning bed.
No laser treatment or chemical peels.
No Retin-A (tretinoin) or AHA near the treated area for 30 days after.
No driving in open air vehicles like convertibles, motorcycles, boats, bicycles, etc.
No smoking.
Apply ice if needed for swelling.
Additional Information
You can expect some itching and flaking for the first week or so after the treatment.
Once completely healed, apply sunscreen SPF 30 to 50 on the eyebrows when outside (sun exposure can cause fading).
Your second treatment will be done in 4 to 6 weeks.
Pigment will darker right after the procedure. It will fade and soften as the skin heals.
After completely healed at 2 weeks, apply SPF 30 sunscreen when in the sun.
